Will Southern Grants Forum have an in-person event in 2022?
Yes! Southern Grants Forum will be held July 26-28, 2022, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the Francis Marion Hotel. Please plan to arrive one day early for onsite conference check-in. (Note: We did not host the conference in 2021 because of COVID-19.)
When should I arrive for the conference?
Please plan to arrive on July 25, 2022. The on-site conference check-in will be the afternoon of July 25, 2022, starting at 1:00 p.m. The conference sessions will start on the morning of July 26, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. Arriving and completing the conference check-in on July 25 will ensure that you do not miss any of the conference.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
All cancellations must be in writing, but email is acceptable. Our general policy is that cancellations will be accepted and refunds will be given for cancelled registrations until the regular (full price) registration period begins. However, a special policy applies to early access registration. Early access registrations cannot be cancelled and refunds will not be given after the registrant has attended any part of a bonus session or accessed a bonus session recording. Regardless of registration category, though, a different attendee may be substituted at no additional charge at any point until the in-person conference. Unless a timely notice of cancellation was provided, refunds will not be given for any registrants who fail to attend an event. In the absence of a timely cancellation, registrants who do not attend are still obligated to pay the appropriate registration fee.
Can I earn CPE credit, and, if so, how much?
Attendees of the Southern Grants Forum can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits in accordance with the details below. Credits will be based on a 50 minute hour. One (1) hour of CPE credit imay be earned per hour of attendance for the educational sessions. The field of study varies; please see individual session descriptions for more information.
Prerequisites and advance preparation vary by session. The program level varies by session. Please see individual session descriptions for prerequisites, advance preparation, and program (experience) level. The delivery method for all Southern Grants Forum 2022 in-person sessions is group live. The delivery method for early access bonus virtual sessions is group internet. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
For Southern Grants Forum 2022 (including early access bonus virtual sessions), Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.
What are the early access bonus virtual sessions?
Early access bonus virtual sessions were available to early access registrants. Early access registration included 3 virtual bonus sessions in late 2021 for free. Southern Grants Forum 2022 early access registration closed on December 15, 2021.

Note: These bonus sessions were available to Southern Grants Forum 2022 early access registration attendees ONLY. Once registered, attendees received instructions about how to sign up for the virtual bonus sessions. The bonus sessions were free to attend for all paid early access registrants, but attendance was not required.

Will I have access to early access bonus session recordings?
Yes, if you are an early access registrant. Paid early access registrants will have access to each bonus session recording for at least 60 days following the end of the live event. Recordings will be automatically emailed within 24 hours of the session. Please note that although CPE credit can be earned for the live online event, CPE credit is not available for the recorded version. Remember, the virtual bonus sessions are exclusively for early access registration attendees, and only early access registrants will get to attend the live bonus sessions or view the bonus session recordings.
Do I need to print any materials for the conference?
You are not required to print or download any conference materials in advance for the Southern Grants Forum. However, as part of our efforts to reduce the conference’s environmental impact, Southern Grants Forum will use a conference app to provide access to materials for the in-person event. Therefore, for materials available on the app, you may want to download copies in advance because pre-printed physical copies will not be available. Regardless, you should print and bring your admission ticket with you to the in-person event.
Do I need to bring my admission ticket to Southern Grants Forum?
Please print and bring your admission ticket with you to conference check-in on your arrival day and the first day of the Southern Grants Forum. Your admission ticket (or a link to download your ticket) is included with your paid registration confirmation email. You will exchange the ticket for your conference credentials. Bringing your printed ticket will speed up the onsite registration process.
Are any meals provided?
Yes, some meals are provided. The Southern Grants Forum includes a luncheon on the first day and an early evening reception. In addition, a hot breakfast will be provided for attendees each morning prior to the first session (July 26-28, 2022). Beverages and light snacks will also be available throughout the conference. All other meals are “on your own” and are each attendee’s individual responsibility.
Do I need to make my own hotel reservations?
Yes, you will need to make your own hotel reservations. Because not all attendees will require hotel accommodations, hotel reservations are not included in the registration fee, and the Southern Grants Forum does not make hotel reservations on behalf of attendees. All attendees are responsible for making their own hotel and other travel arrangements.
What is the dress code for the Southern Grants Forum?
Most attendees dress business casual, but we leave this to the discretion of each attendee. We do recommend that attendees either dress in easily removable layers or bring a light sweater or jacket. Although the hotel makes every attempt to keep room temperatures at comfortable levels, room temperature does tend to be a personal preference, and some attendees may find rooms to be cooler or warmer than what they prefer.
