Will Southern Grants Forum be held in 2020?

Yes. Southern Grants Forum will be held in 2020. However, the event has transitioned to a Virtual Conference. There will not be an in-person edition. The Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference will be held on July 28-30, 2020.

 

Will Southern Grants Forum have an in-person event in 2020?

No, the event will be online. Southern Grants Forum 2020 will be a Virtual Conference rather than an in-person event. An in-person edition will not be held in 2020. However, we anticipate returning to an in-person format for 2021. In the meantime, the Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference will be held on July 28-30, 2020.

 

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

All cancellations must be in writing; email is acceptable. Refunds for cancelled registrations for the Southern Grants Forum will be given until the Early Bird Registration period ends. However, registrations cannot be cancelled and refunds will not be given after the Early Bird Registration Period ends, but a different attendee may be substituted at no charge. Unless a timely notice of cancellation was provided, refunds will not be given for any registrants who fail to attend an event. In the absence of a timely cancellation, registrants who do not attend an event are still obligated to pay the appropriate registration fee. If you previously registered for the in-person edition of the conference, your registration will be cancelled automatically effective June 1, 2020, and your registration fee refunded automatically to your original payment method.

 

Can I earn CPE credit, and, if so, how much?

Yes. Attendees at the Southern Grants Forum can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits in accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Credits will be based on a 50 minute hour. One hour of CPE credit in the field of Specialized Knowledge (Nonprofits and Government) can be earned for each educational session. A total of 14 hours of CPE in the field of Specialized Knowledge (Nonprofits and Government) can be earned for completing all sessions. Participation will be monitored through polling and other interactive features, and participants must respond to a minimum number of polls or features to earn CPE credit; for each hour of CPE credit, the participant must respond to at least three of four polls or other interactive features. The method of instruction is group internet based. Please note that CPE credit can be earned for the live event but not for the recorded version of the conference.

Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its web site: www.NASBARegistry.org.

 

How will I access the Virtual Conference?

The Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference will use a virtual events platform. At least two weeks before the Virtual Conference, you will receive instructions (by email) explaining how to access the virtual events platform. (If you register less than two weeks before the event, you will receive the virtual platform access information within 24 hours of registration.) You will be able to access the Virtual Conference educational sessions, materials, and other features, through the virtual events platform.

 

Do I need to print any materials for the conference?

You are not required to print or download any conference materials in advance for the Southern Grants Forum. However, the Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference will use a virtual events platform for our attendees’ convenience. Materials will be available through the events platform.  Attendees will have access to the platform before the Virtual Confernce. Therefore, you may download and print materials in advance of the Virtual Conference if you wish to do so.

 

Will I have access to recordings of the conference sessions?

Yes. One of the benefits of holding a Virtual Conference is the ability to easily record sessions. Paid registrants will have access to recordings of the Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference’s educational sessions for at least 60 days following the end of the live event. Recordings will be available on-demand and will be accessed through the conference’s virtual events platform. Please note that although CPE credit can be earned for the live event, CPE credit is not available for the recorded version of the conference.

 

What if I previously registered for the in-person edition?

If you previously registered for the in-person edition of the Southern Grants Forum 2020, please know that we made the decision to transition to a virtual event with the health and safety of our attendees in mind. Your registration for the in-person version of the conference will be cancelled automatically effective June 1, 2020. You will automatically receive a refund by way of your original payment method. Please allow two weeks for your refund to be processed.

 

Can I transfer my registration for the in-person edition to the Virtual Conference?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. For technical reasons, registrations for the in-person event cannot be transferred to the Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference. You will need to re-register specifically for the Virtual Conference. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

If I already made hotel reservations, do I need to cancel them?

The group block at the conference hotel has been cancelled. However, individual registrants who have already made hotel reservations should confirm with the hotel that their individual reservations have been cancelled. If you have not received a cancellation confirmation email from Marriott Bonvoy, please contact the hotel or Marriott reservations directly by telephone or through their website. Registrants should contact the New Orleans Renaissance Arts District Hotel at 1-877-622-3056 or the Marriott reservations hotline (toll free) at 1-800-431-8634 or visit the hotel website. Please have your reservations confirmation information availabe.

 

When will Southern Grants Forum 2020 be held?

Southern Grants Forum 2020 has transitioned to a Virtual Conference, but the event will still take place in late July as originally planned. The Southern Grants Forum 2020 Virtual Conference will be held on July 28-30, 2020.
