This session will review non-public grant sources, including private foundations. This session will focus on finding the right fit with your organization, positioning your organization for success in the approach, and cultivating relationships with potential private funders. The session will also address how to leverage partnerships and other community resources to access grant funds.

Attendees of this session will learn how to break out of the habit of seeking only public funding. The session will help attendees recognize that private grants may be smaller, but they are so much easier to spend and maintain. Attendees will learn to approach private philanthropy with a broader perspective and with more confidence. Like dating, there is the right “someone” for everybody. Let’s talk about how to find them.
