Avoiding Head Start “Red Flags”

Patrons III

Head Start and Early Head Start agencies face ongoing challenges in complying with evolving programmatic requirements.  This workshop will discuss “red flags”–common issues that are a focus of compliance efforts by the Office of Head Start–and what agencies can do to stay out of trouble.  Topics will include health and safety, fiscal management, and eligibility and enrollment red flags.

The session complements our annual Head Start update and provides additional information about current compliance concerns.  During the workshop, attendees will learn how to identify common compliance issues within Head Start and Early Head Start programs as well as strategies for avoiding these problem areas.

This session is recommended for all attendees representing Head Start and Early Head Start agencies. The experience level for this session is overview/update. There are no prerequisites for this session.
