Contract Issues in Procurement

Organizations making purchases using grant funds often overlook one essential element: the form of the agreement or contract. This session explains how to draft contracts when entering into procurement transactions for grant-funded programs.  By attending this session, you will learn about acceptable and unacceptable contract types; required and preferred terms and conditions; and assembling a useful contract bank cost-effectively.

This session is recommended for all attendees.  The experience level is basic.  No prerequisite for attendance or prior preparation is required.  Attendees can earn up to one (1.0) hour of CPE credit in the field of specialized knowledge (nonprofits and government) for completing this session.  Following this session, attendees will be able to distinguish permitted and prohibited procurement contracts and will be able to list at least five considerations for drafting procurement contracts.
