Exposing Grants Management Myths

Unfortunately, some “common knowledge” within the grant-funded community actually has no basis in fact. This session will tackle several of the biggest myths, misconceptions, and misunderstandings, in grants management. During this session, we will expose myths about funding source remedies, cost sharing, prior approval, procurement, indirect costs, governance, and more. After attending this session, you will be able to identify at least six grants management myths and describe the corresponding, actual requirements.

This session is recommended for all attendees. The experience level is basic. There is no prerequisite for attendance, and advance preparation is not required. Attendees can earn up to two (2.0) hours of CPE credit in the field of specialized knowledge (nonprofits and government) for completing this session.
