Michael Scuello

Michael Scuello, Senior Associate, has been employed at Metis since November 1998. His duties include a variety of tasks related to research methodology, data acquisition, and data analysis including negotiating data sharing agreements and collecting data, conducting and supervising data file consolidation, ensuring data quality control, developing and executing evaluation and data analysis plans, facilitating evaluation progress meetings, and preparing written summaries and presentations of evaluation findings. Prior to joining Metis, Mr. Scuello taught several years of undergraduate behavioral statistics and research methodology at Brooklyn College, worked as a research assistant under a NASA Individual Research Award grant, and as a caseworker/counselor with drug dependent and geriatric psychiatry populations at Coney Island Hospital. Mr. Scuello holds a B.A. in Psychology (New York University, 1991), has completed doctoral-level coursework in Experimental Psychology (City University of New York), and currently serves as the chairperson and human protections administrator for Metis’s Institutional Review Board.
