Buy Right: Uniform Guidance Procurement Standards

The OMB’s Uniform Guidance includes procurement standards for making purchases using grant funds. Make sure that your organization knows how to “buy right” and complete its procurement transactions in compliance with the Uniform Guidance. This session will explain the current rules for procurement under the Uniform Guidance. By participating, you will learn about requirements for different entities, conflict of interest prohibitions, maintaining adequate competition, and selecting contractors. You will also learn about avoiding waste, allowable procurement methods, opportunities for disadvantaged businesses, and documenting procurement transactions. After this session, you will be able to outline the key procurement requirements under the OMB’s Uniform Guidance.
