FASB Hot Topics

This session will provide participants with the latest information about what is happening at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Our discussion will include the recent and soon-to-be-effective pronouncements from FASB that are of the most interest to grant-funded entities. Attendees will learn the impact of these pronouncements, implementation issues, and strategies for their implementation. After attending this session, you will be able to identify the proposed and recent changes to accounting standards that affect grant-funded entities.

This session is recommended for all attendees affiliated with organizations that are subject to FASB standards. The experience level is overview. Attendees should have a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; no other prerequisites exist. Prior preparation is not required. Attendees can earn up to 2.0 hours of CPE credit in the field of accounting for completing this session.
