Introduction to Federal Grants Management

The Office of Management and Budget’s requirements at 2 C.F.R. pt 200 (long known as the Uniform Guidance) form the basis for managing Federal grants. Every recipient and subrecipient of Federal financial assistance needs to understand these important rules. However, the OMB never intended for the requirements in Part 200 to be static, and they continue to evolve. Experienced auditor Keith Hundley will explain the essentials of managing grants under the OMB’s current rules. You will learn about key terminology, general requirements, pre-award considerations, fiscal management rules, award performance, grant closeouts, and audit standards. After attending this session, you will be able to outline the most important grants management requirements under 2 C.F.R. pt. 200.
