Procurement Standards and Best Practices

The OMB’s recent Uniform Guidance updates included major changes to procurement standards. Make sure you know current requirements for purchasing goods and services with grant funds. This session will explain the key rules for procurement using an easy-to-understand format. You will learn about requirements for different entities, conflict of interest prohibitions, maintaining adequate competition, and selecting contractors. You will also learn about avoiding waste, allowable procurement methods, opportunities for disadvantaged businesses, and documenting procurement transactions. Additionally, the session will discuss best practices for purchases by grant-funded entities. After this session, you will be able to identify the procurement standards under the Uniform Guidance.
