Marie is a CPA and partner with Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI), and has more than 35 years of experience in the accounting field; more than 27 years with an emphasis in providing services to the not-for-profit industry. She is one of the firm’s Single Audit team leaders and provides technical assistance throughout the firm. She specializes in federally grant funded entities including Community Action Agencies, Head Start programs and Workforce Development programs. She participates in the audit process of many of the firm’s Single Audit clients. In addition to audit services, Marie provides accounting and consulting services to the firm’s not-for-profit clients. She participates in providing training and technical assistance to troubled agencies and agencies with specific needs. She has assisted clients with re-competition for Head Start grants, self-assessments, Cost Allocation plans, Indirect cost plans, budgetary compliance, Single Audit compliance, chart of account design and grant compliance. Annually, Marie serves as an instructor during the firm wide continuing education training and lead classes to instruct and update audit teams on the Single Audit process and new and revolving issues.
